For the past two years he has been working with a diverse group of national religious leaders including Bob Edgar (National Council of Churches), Richard Land (Southern Baptist Convention), and activist Rabbi Arthur Waskow to heighten awareness of the failures of the church during the Third Reich. In 2007 Rev. Martin was honored at the US Holocaust Memorial Museum for his work with “Theologians Under Hitler.”
Steve's primary interest is that of the role of the church in present day society and in history, for better or for worse. His work has been both inspiring and intensely controversial.
